In a commitment to delivering safer, more dignified care to aged care residents, CHS Healthcare has partnered with Rutherglen Aged Care, a brand new facility operated by Indigo North Health. The collaboration has brought advanced patient handling and hygiene solutions to the forefront of care at the 50-bed facility, which includes residents from the former Glenview Nursing Home.
Purpose-built with a strong focus on dementia-friendly design, Rutherglen Aged Care offers all residents the comfort of private ensuites in a modern and supportive environment. The facility aims to not only meet but exceed current standards of aged care through purposeful design, thoughtful care practices, and the integration of innovative healthcare equipment.
To support these goals, CHS Healthcare supplied and installed a comprehensive range of patient handling and hygiene solutions tailored to meet the needs of both residents and caregivers.
 
The installation includes Nomad portable ceiling hoists in 44 resident rooms, PLS Ceiling Hoists in four bariatric rooms, and the Beka Avero Bathtub, which brings a modern, space-saving aged care solution for assisted bathing. These systems are designed to promote safe transfers, reduce caregiver strain, and enhance overall resident comfort.
