CHS Healthcare Returns from Europe with New Patient Handling Technology and Stronger Partnerships

CHS Healthcare has returned from a European trip focused on strengthening relationships with international partners and gaining insight into the latest developments in patient handling and healthcare equipment.
The trip included attendance at REHACARE 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany, followed by meetings with global partners and suppliers across Europe. The team had the opportunity to see and experience new patient handling technology trends, discuss future products, and explore developments that could support the Australian healthcare and patient handling market.

CHS Healthcare at REHACARE 2026: Reconnecting with PLS and Exploring New Technology

From 16–18 September, the CHS Healthcare team attended REHACARE 2026, an internationally recognised event for rehabilitation, care and accessibility.

A key part of the visit was catching up with PLS, one of CHS Healthcare’s global partners and a key supplier of ceiling hoist solutions. PLS had a booth at the event, giving the team an opportunity to see their latest innovations and connect with their Executive Managing Director and CEO, Marcel.

Reconnecting with PLS and Exploring the Latest Hoist Technology

The meeting with Marcel continued a relationship that has developed through regular collaboration between PLS and CHS Healthcare.

In January 2026, Marcel visited CHS Healthcare’s Victorian warehouse to train the installation and service team on PLS Constant Charge and Wall Profile systems. This time, the CHS Healthcare team travelled to Germany to support PLS at REHACARE and gain a closer look at the latest hoist technology being developed for the international market.

The discussions included upgraded and updated features across PLS Ceiling Hoist systems, providing valuable insight into how globally recognised patient handling equipment continues to evolve.
The team also had the opportunity to view a range of Ceiling Hoists and other International Patient Handling Tools showcased throughout the event, offering a broader perspective on developments across the industry.

Looking Ahead to New Products and Opportunities for the Australian Market

In the lead up to, and during the REHACARE event, the team also meet with other international partners and suppliers, including Astor Bannermann, Handicare, Etac, Meden-Inmed and other global partners specialising in patient handling solutions.

The meetings provided an opportunity to reflect on the year so far, strengthen relationships and discuss future products that could complement CHS Healthcare’s existing patient handling solutions and healthcare equipment portfolio.

The trip also opened discussions around potential new partners and products that may eventually become part of CHS Healthcare’s world-class patient handling tools portfolio in Australia.

For CHS Healthcare, the European trip was about more than seeing new products. It was an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, understand where the industry is heading and identify developments that could benefit the Australian market.
By connecting directly with international partners and seeing internationally recognised technology firsthand, CHS Healthcare can continue to stay informed about global trends and consider new solutions for healthcare providers and the people they support across Australia.
