Astor Neatfold Stretcher

Astor Bannerman’s distinctive and patented bath-mounted Neatfold stretcher has significantly enhanced the lives of numerous individuals over the course of many years, facilitating the process of drying and changing, while simultaneously minimizing the number of hoist transfers and preserving the dignity of the bather.

The Neatfold stretcher’s center-fold design enables the bather to be lifted directly up and out of the bath when it is installed in our baths and used in conjunction with a mobile hoist or ceiling track hoist. The stretcher folds into position beneath the bather.

The gurney is then directly lowered onto the client, without the need for the client to be moved from the bath. The body will remain warm due to the heat from the bath below, and any excess water can be readily drained through the small holes in the tear-resistant vinyl material.

In conjunction with an Astor Bannerman hi-low bath, the Neatfold stretcher also functions as a completely height-adjustable showering bench or platform for general care and treatment.

The Neatfold stretcher can be customized to meet the specific requirements of each client, as it is constructed from a rust-proof stainless steel frame and includes options such as a removable mattress, barrier, and padded bumper protection.
